Solutions/All-in-one boat dealer software
◆ Marine dealer management software

The all-in-one operating system for a modern boat dealership.

Sales, service, inventory, accounting, the dealer website, and AI — one backend, one bill, one source of truth. Replace your DMS, website agency, CRM, email tools, and spreadsheets before the end of the quarter.

  • Eight modules, 60+ capabilities — one flat monthly price
  • Dealer website included (Next.js, SSR, schema.org) — rivals charge extra or ignore it
  • AI built in: Boat Companion, listing copy, manufacturer-knowledge chat
  • 6-week migration from DockMaster, IDS Astra, Lightspeed, BiT, or Excel — included
The problem

The six-vendor stack you're paying for now — and the ~15 hrs/wk it costs.

The typical marine dealership we talk to pays one vendor for the DMS, another for the website, one for the CRM, two for email, and keeps the books in QuickBooks. Nothing talks to anything, so a sales manager spends Friday afternoon reconciling four exports into a spreadsheet. That's not a software problem — it's an architecture problem.

01 · One backend

One source of truth for sales, service, inventory, accounting, and the website.

When a hull sells in BoaterOS, the CRM closes the lead, the website removes the listing, the books post the deal, and the service queue closes the PDI — automatically, in the same system. No exports. No manual sync. No Friday reconcile.

  • Inventory updates the website the moment you save — no FTP, no plugin
  • Deal accounting posts to the ledger without a QuickBooks bridge
  • CRM, email, and SMS share the same contact record as the DMS
  • Parts POS, service WOs, and F&I all draw from the same customer file

02 · The differentiator

What makes BoaterOS different from every other marine DMS.

Every rival on the SERP — Lightspeed, EverLogic, BiT, DealerRock, IDS Astra — will tell you they 'integrate QuickBooks.' Some bolt on a third-party website tool. BoaterOS is the only marine DMS where the dealer website and AI are the same product as the ledger. Not an integration. The same codebase, the same login, the same data.

  • Next.js dealer website: SSR, schema.org structured data, Core Web Vitals — included in every plan
  • AI Boat Companion answers buyer questions 24/7 using your live inventory
  • AI Listing Copy writes every hull description on add — one field to review, not forty to type
  • Manufacturer-knowledge chat answers spec and warranty questions without a human in the loop
  • QuickBooks/Xero export for outside CPAs who won't switch — your books still tie out
  • Plaid bank reconciliation so the ledger closes itself, not on a Friday afternoon
03 · Migration

Switch in six weeks — never a day of lost selling.

A DMS migration doesn't have to cost a quarter. The Fish Tale Boats playbook is a module-by-module cut-over with parallel run built in. Your team keeps selling in the old system through week five. The new system goes live in week six — with every customer record, every WO, every hull photo already in place.

  • Module-by-module cut-over — no big-bang switch that breaks a selling day
  • Parallel run weeks 3–5: both systems live, no pressure on your team
  • Zero leads lost: CRM runs in BoaterOS from week two, before the DMS cuts
  • Migration included in every plan — not a line-item on a SOW

◆ Customer voice
"We were paying five vendors to do one job poorly. BoaterOS replaced all of them, and the website started generating leads in week four — before we even finished training."

Common questions

The questions dealers ask before they book a demo.

What does "all-in-one" actually mean — does BoaterOS replace QuickBooks?
BoaterOS replaces the day-to-day workflow that lives in QuickBooks: deal accounting, parts POS, receivables, and bank reconciliation via Plaid. If your outside CPA is on QuickBooks or Xero, we export a clean ledger on demand so they never have to touch the new system. Most dealers keep their CPA's preferred tool and simply stop manually bridging data between the DMS and the books — that's the 15 hrs/week they get back.
We already signed a new agency contract for the website. Can we join mid-contract?
Yes. The dealer website is included but not mandatory on day one. You can cut over the website in week four of the migration (as most customers do) or delay it until your agency contract expires. Either way, your inventory data is already live in BoaterOS so the switch is a configuration change, not a rebuild.
Is this just for DockMaster migrations, or do you handle other systems?
We have a documented playbook for DockMaster, IDS Astra, Lightspeed EVO, and BiT Dealer. If you're on a regional or custom system, tell us on the demo call — we've handled Excel-only and paper-based shops too. The six-week timeline holds for all of them because the methodology is data-mapping, not re-entry.
Does BoaterOS work for multi-location dealerships?
Multi-location and multi-org are built in from day one — not a bolt-on. Each location gets its own P&L, inventory view, and service queue. Management gets a rollup dashboard. We replaced the old per-location thinking with a single platform that scales from one lot to a network without re-licensing.
How is BoaterOS different from Lightspeed, BiT, or EverLogic?
Every other marine DMS integrates QuickBooks and lets you pay a web agency separately. BoaterOS includes the Next.js dealer website and AI natively — the listing copy engine, Boat Companion, manufacturer-knowledge chat, and buyer comparisons are part of the platform, not add-ons. That's why Fish Tale Boats replaced six vendors with one, not six vendors with two.
What happens if it doesn't work out in the first 30 days?
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. Your old system stays read-only through the 30-day embedded period, so the fallback is intact. If you need to return, we refund the migration and first month's subscription in full and restore from the read-only backup — zero data loss.
