Every parts request has a place to land and a name on it.
A boat dealer parts request queue where nothing gets lost. Every request from a lead, a service ticket or a forwarded email lands in one queue with a status and an owner. It is a request queue; parts inventory and point of sale are outside it.

One queue for the parts counter
The boat dealer parts request queue is one path in, however the request arrives. Requests reach parts from a sales lead, a service request, a forwarded email or by hand. Each is created through one path, notifies the configured parts recipients with a link, and can be started, fulfilled, declined, reset or sent on to sales or service.
- Source shown on every request: lead, email feed, manual or service
- Status flow: new, in progress, fulfilled, declined, each stamped with who and when
- Send to Sales restores the original lead instead of creating a duplicate
- Send to Service creates a service request and notifies service
- Assigned staff and a link back to the originating lead
- Master search across vessels, engines and trailers by stock number, HIN, serial, make or model
How a request moves
- 01
It comes in
From a lead's Send to Parts, a service request, an email feed or a manual entry. Notification emails carry a name, source and link.
- 02
The counter starts it
Move it to in progress, and look up the unit in the master list without asking sales.
- 03
It closes with a name on it
Mark fulfilled or decline. Reset returns it to new if it was closed by mistake.
- 04
Or it moves on
Hand it to sales or service in one confirmed step; the records stay linked.
What it doesn't do yet
No parts inventory or POS
There are no on-hand quantities, part numbers, pricing, purchasing or point of sale. The hard parts and serialized accessories areas are placeholders.
The list is basic
No tabs, filters, search or export, and it shows the newest 500 requests.
Access is bucket-gated
Parts staff see this queue through an access bucket, so it needs to be assigned to the people who work the counter.
What dealers ask about this
No. It tracks requests. Parts sales and stock still live in whatever you use today.
The queue notifies your staff. Customer communication happens from the customer file.
Yes, in the master unit list. Whether a parts user can open the full record depends on their access.
