Every portal email becomes a lead in your CRM.
Boat dealer lead capture that puts every channel in one list. Forms, chat, phone, text, marketplace and manufacturer leads arrive in the same pipeline, checked for spam and duplicates, and tagged with how the customer heard of you and how they reached out.

Every door into the dealership, one pipeline behind it
Boat dealer lead capture should not depend on a rep forwarding an email. A boat buyer can reach a dealer a dozen ways. BoaterOS takes the website forms, chat, tracked calls and texts, listing-portal and manufacturer emails, and leads a rep enters by hand, and puts them in one list. Each lead carries two labels: how they heard about you, and how they reached out.
- Website forms across listings, contact, trade value, financing pre-approval, service and guide downloads, plus AI chat
- Listing portal and manufacturer lead emails read and turned into leads, including BoatTrader and Boatmart
- Calls and texts from tracked numbers matched to a lead, or a new lead created from an unknown caller
- Honeypot and spam checks on public forms; blocked phone numbers and emails auto-archive future leads
- First touch is kept and later touches are added to the timeline, so the original source is never overwritten
- Contact enrichment appended after the lead is saved, so it never delays the alert to the rep
How a lead gets in
- 01
The inquiry arrives
From a form, a chat, a phone call, a text, a forwarded email, a portal or a rep entering it by hand.
- 02
It is checked and matched
Spam checks run, the phone and email are normalized, and the lead is matched to any existing lead or customer.
- 03
It is labeled
Source category, channel and contact method are set from the click, campaign, referrer or tracked number, and staff can correct the label on the lead file.
- 04
The right people are told
New-lead alerts go to the recipient list you set, not the whole floor.
increase in leads arriving with a known source. Organic search turned out to be the #1 lead channel.
of leads matched to what they browsed before reaching out.
What lead capture does not do yet
Knowing the source is not the same as more demand
Knowing the source on most leads tells you where they came from. It does not tell you which channel created the demand.
No ad-spend or ROAS by source
There is no spend data behind the sources yet, so cost per lead and return on ad spend are not calculated.
Facebook lead ads are not connected
Facebook leads arrive through your website forms with attribution, not through a direct lead-ads connection.
Some channels depend on setup
Google Ads lead forms and call tracking need to be configured for your account. Enrichment matches only some leads and needs its own contract.
What dealers ask about this
No. Portal and manufacturer leads are read from the emails they already send. The source is set from the sender, and where the sender is unclear the system infers it from the text.
Public forms use a honeypot and spam assessment, suspicious ones are tagged as possible spam, and a lead marked as spam adds the phone and email to a blocked list so future leads from them are archived on arrival.
Yes. The lead file has a source and boat-show editor, and staff-reported touches (like "saw us at the show") are stored separately without rewriting the original attribution.
