Brokerage paperwork the seller finishes from their phone.

Yacht brokerage software that gets the seller's paperwork done from their phone. Send one link. The seller signs the listing agreement, uploads their license, title and photos, and the deal moves when the packet is complete.

/ What it does

A two-deal model built for consignment

BoaterOS is yacht brokerage software that keeps the seller's side and the buyer's side straight. A brokered boat produces two deals. The seller's brokerage deal books your commission only. The buyer gets their own standard deal, which books zero, so the boat is never counted twice. When the buyer's signed purchase agreement is recorded, ownership moves from the seller to the buyer.

  • No-login seller portal, phone-first, opened from an emailed link
  • Listing agreement and power of attorney sent as one signing, e-signed as part of full document management
  • Driver's license read with OCR and a title number suggested, with the seller reviewing what was read
  • Co-owners sign in sequence, each on their own link
  • Weekly email reminder to the seller naming exactly what is missing
  • Close is blocked without the signed agreement and the check sheet on file (today the check sheet is an uploaded document)
/ How it works

How a brokerage listing runs

  1. 01

    Send the seller link

Staff send the portal link and set the terms: commission, minimum term and tail period. There is no public sign-up button, and the seller needs no account or app.

  2. 02

    The seller completes the packet

They e-sign the listing agreement and power of attorney and upload license, title, lien and trailer details and photos.

  3. 03

    List and market the hull

The deal advances when the packet is complete and the boat goes through the normal listing flow.

  4. 04

    Close with two deals

The buyer gets their own deal. On close the commission books on the seller deal and the buyer side books zero.

/ Honest limits

What brokerage does not do yet

The power of attorney is Florida's

The POA is the Florida form. Another state needs its own template and layout. The listing agreement carries one dealership's branding today, so yours needs to be set up.

The POA warns, it does not block

Close is blocked without the signed agreement and check sheet, but a missing power of attorney only raises a warning.

Email only for sellers, and new in use

Seller reminders are email; there is no seller texting. The seller portal only recently went into real use, so expect refinements.

Buyer purchase agreements are not e-signed

E-signature covers the brokerage documents. The buyer's purchase agreement is uploaded.

/ Questions

What dealers ask about this

No. The seller opens an emailed link, usually on a phone, and finishes everything from there.

Commission only, on the seller deal. The buyer side of a brokered resale books zero, so reports never count the same boat twice.

Commission, minimum term and tail period default from settings and can be changed per deal when you send the documents.
